Each entry will describe how energy management implementation occurred within the organization and resulting business benefits. Entries will undergo a juried selection process by a committee of esteemed ISO 50001 experts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Any organization located in Ukraine in the industrial, commercial, or public sector is eligible to participate. Entries may feature corporate level, multi-site, or single facility entrants. The program offers two tracks for participation. Entrants will self-select their participation track based on their staff headcount and\/or annual turnover.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Organizations submitting entries will be eligible for two types of recognition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Award of Excellence:\u202f<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">The top entries will receive the prestigious Award of Excellence and\u202f certificate for energy efficiency services from 7,500 to 15,000 USD according to the type of track (1 or 2 track). Recipients of the certificate should select one option: Consultancy services; Equipment and other material goods; Trainings in Ukraine or abroad; Study tours to visit industrial peers leading on energy management\/energy efficiency and decarbonization.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Insight Award:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202f All qualifying entries will receive Insight Award and the opportunity to take free online training sessions in energy efficiency.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"accordion-head h4\">Awards<span class = \"tatsu-accordion-expand\"><\/span><\/h3><div class = \"accordion-content body\" ><div class = \"accordion-content-inner \">\n<p>Recipients of the top award will receive a certificate for energy efficiency services. Two (2) large companies will be selected to receive the Award of Excellence, with a certificate for energy efficiency services valued at\u00a010 000 USD\u00a0each.<br \/>Three (3) small and medium enterprises will be selected to receive the Award of Excellence, with a certificate for energy efficiency services valued at 5 000 USD\u00a0each.\u00a0<br \/>All Awards of Excellence recipient organizations will choose one of the following options of energy efficiency services: \u00a0<br \/>\u2022 Consulting services by leading national and international consultants (provided by UNIDO);<br \/>\u2022 Purchase of equipment for energy efficiency measures (purchased by UNIDO).<br \/>Training sessions for all recipient organizations:\u00a0<br \/>All Awards of Excellence and Insight Award recipient organizations will be entitled to participate in two days training sessions from<br \/>UNIDO on energy efficiency indicators and energy efficiency measurement at no fee.<br \/>The trainings will be organized in the period from March to May 2025. Unused trainings cannot be exchanged for other services, prizes, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"accordion-head h4\">Who Should Apply<span class = \"tatsu-accordion-expand\"><\/span><\/h3><div class = \"accordion-content body\" ><div class = \"accordion-content-inner \">\n<p>Eligibility requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have valid ISO 50001 certificate\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Certificate must be issued by third-party certification bodies<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The certificate must not expire prior to June 30, 2025, unless the company is seeking recertification to extend certification. In this<br \/>case, evidence of the ongoing recertification process must be provided.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The enterprise must be active and working at<br \/>the time of submitting the application for participation.<\/li>\n<li>The baseline and reporting period must be at least 12 consecutive months. Companies independently determine the baseline.<\/li>\n<li>The actual results of energy efficiency improvement should be included in the description of examples of the implementation of EnMS and energy efficiency measures.<\/li>\n<li>Predicted results are not accepted.<br \/><strong><br \/>Eligibility requirements:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Certification to ISO 50001 (recommended\/ optional)<\/li>\n<li>Conducted energy audit (recommended\/ optional)<\/li>\n<li>The base and reporting period must be at least 12 consecutive months. Companies independently determine the baseline.<\/li>\n<li>The enterprise must be active and working at the time of submitting the application for participation.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in voluntary collaboration programmes on energy management\/energy<br \/>efficiency, demonstrated by a confirmation (e.g., letter) from the relevant programme organizer. Approved programmes include:\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>UNIDO Energy Management System (EnMS) Programme<\/li>\n<li>UNIDO Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Programme (RECP)<\/li>\n<li>UNIDO Improving Energy Efficiency &#038; Promoting Renewable Energy in the Agro-Food &#038; Other Small and Medium Enterprises<\/li>\n<li>EBRD Ukraine Sustainable Energy Lending Facility (USELF)<\/li>\n<li>EBRD &#038; Agribusiness Support Program of Ukraine&#038;<\/li>\n<li>EBRD and GEF program \u201cUkraine: Sustainable<br \/>Bioenergy Value Chain Innovations\u201d<\/li>\n<li>UNDP project \u201cTransforming the Market for Efficient Lighting\u201d<\/li>\n<li>GIZ Advisory Services for Energy Efficiency in Companies<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Contact the Awards Administrator to ask about<br \/>other specific programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Actual results of energy performance improvements achieved must be included in the case studies. Projected results are not accepted.\n<p>Although participation through the SME track does not require ISO 50001 certification, entrants with ISO 50001 certification could earn higher scores than entrants without ISO 50001 certification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"accordion-head h4\">How to Apply<span class = \"tatsu-accordion-expand\"><\/span><\/h3><div class = \"accordion-content body\" ><div class = \"accordion-content-inner \">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enter the competition, you must submit a copy of your entry form and a structured case study. Large companies must also submit a copy of the organization\u2019s ISO 50001 certificate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If considering participation, send an email to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:EnMS@enms-award.com.ua\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EnMS@enms-award.com.ua<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 to receive important updates or clarifications. A return email will confirm receipt.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By submitting a case study for consideration for the All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management, organizations grant permission to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and its partners to use the case study and contents therein. This includes but is not exclusive to sharing the case study online, sharing the case study contents (e.g., photos, quotes, business benefits and other excerpts) via press releases, presentations, etc. Name and contacts provided by the case study submitter in the Entry Form may also be shared with ministries and other organizations that will want to congratulate or contact award recipients.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"accordion-head h4\">Submission Deadline<span class = \"tatsu-accordion-expand\"><\/span><\/h3><div class = \"accordion-content body\" ><div class = \"accordion-content-inner \">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Entries are due by 17 January 2025 at 17:00 EEST.<\/strong> Early submission by 14 March 2022 is encouraged to ensure the eligibility of your entry; upon receipt, each entry will be reviewed for eligibility. If entries are incomplete, the awards administrator will notify the submitter of missing information, and the submitter may resolve the issue and re-submit at any time up to the submission deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"accordion-head h4\">Case Study Topics<span class = \"tatsu-accordion-expand\"><\/span><\/h3><div class = \"accordion-content body\" ><div class = \"accordion-content-inner \">\n<p>The case study that you submit should address all the energy management topics listed in in the following tables, Case Study Topics for Track 1: Large Companies and Case Study Topics for Track 2: SMEs. The tables show the total number of points that can be earned for each topic, by track. Experts will review your entry and score each topic based on the evaluation criteria. The experts will score the entries on a scale from 0 to 100\u00a0using the\u00a0Evaluation Criteria. All accepted case studies that address the case study topics and meet the evaluation criteria will become \u201cqualified entries\u201d thereby earning an Insight Award. The highest-scoring entries will move forward as finalists for determining the recipients of the Award of Excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Award Notification<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>After the selection process is complete, award recipients will be notified by email. <strong>Expected notification date February 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><b>Awards Program Administrators<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management is supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) Programme.
